SAL-S40N (59 nm Resolution Absolute Linear Encoder)
The SAL-S40N is one of the first encoder in its size and class that is offered as an open type encoder. In this configuration, the encoder and scale are separate, allowing customers to build their own unique configuration. SAL-S40N encoder’s technology is based on Nikon’s successful absolute rotary encoders (#1 market share in Japan), which serve many of the industrial robotics and automotive industries.
